(b.1961, Japanese) Koshiro Hatori is a professional translator and origami artist who has made significant contributions to the academic study of origami. His research has led to breakthroughs in the mathematics of origami as well as the history of this art form both in Japan and the West. His designs range from traditional origami to abstractions, crumpled forms to pleated sculptures.
