my tips for folding from a CP

(- print the CP and prefold ALL lines)
- study both CP and the picture of the model and discover what is where in the CP
- now find out what are the mountain and valley folds. In this case it is obvious that the diagonal from the left upper corner to the right bottom corner is a mountain fold
- fold this fold ... the adjacent folds can now only be either valley or mountain folds
- while folding, the model will (slowly) start to more or less fold itself
- do realize that usually not all folding lines are present in the CP ... but these lines never complicate the model

[1] Study both the photo of the model and the CP in order to find out 'what is where' in the CP .... which is not too difficult here.
[2] now you know at least a few mountain and valley folds ... for instance: the diagonal from the left upper corner to the right lower corner is a mountain fold ....
[3] fold those easy fold lines first and from there on the model will almost fold itself ....

To have an easier start you could print the CP and prefold ALL lines before going through the steps above.

I must admit that at first I too was too impressed with CPs to even want to try it. Then I decided to at least try one and ....
it wasn't that difficult at all!

Do realize that usually a CP doesn't have all necessary crease lines. The ones missing will show when shaping the model.
